Rescued from the Danyang County animal shelter before euthanasia. Despite his uncertain start, Skyler has blossomed into one of the most adaptable, easygoing dogs you will ever meet — fully settled into foster life within just 7 days.

Skyler is the rare dog who loves absolutely everyone right from the start. He doesn’t distinguish between women, men, or children — if you show him any attention, he will walk right up and ask to be petted. He is affectionate without being clingy, playful without being overwhelming, and calm enough to fit into almost any home.

Women
Approaches warmly and asks to be petted from the very first meeting
Men
Same open, friendly energy as with women — no hesitation or wariness

Gets along well with dogs of all sizes. Greets calmly. If a very young puppy rushes him head-on, he may grumble to signal “slow down” — this is polite communication, not aggression.

Cats
No reaction to cats encountered on walks — does not get excited or try to chase. Has not been tested with cats in a home setting.
Children
Completely comfortable with children; responds the same as with adults
House trainedYes — outdoor potty
Alone timeUp to 5 hours (no separation anxiety after the first few days in a new home)
BarkingVery low. In the first few days of foster care, he briefly barked 2–3 times at unfamiliar sounds (washer, dishwasher). After about 5 days, he rarely barks at all.
Destructive behaviorNone. Never chews non-toy items, even when left alone.
Car ridesExcellent. Calm in the seat, no drooling or motion sickness. Needs a moment of attention when the car door opens as he’s eager to get out.
Favorite activitiesRunning alongside people, tug with cloth toys and towels, chew toys. Loves most meat-based treats.

Loves sniff walks and is an easy leash companion. Doesn’t pull. If he spots another dog he’ll show mild interest and lean slightly toward them, but is easily redirected and never insistent. Completely unbothered by motorcycles, cars, bicycles, strangers, or rain.

Fully vaccinated and currently healthy. A professional dental cleaning will be completed before his arrival in the US. Monthly parasite prevention: NexGard Plus on the 15th of each month, given year-round including winter. No known allergies. Currently eating Brit Care Grain-Free Hypoallergenic diet.

Skyler is a wonderfully versatile dog. He does equally well in single-dog and multi-dog homes, and loves people of all ages. He’s not a high-energy dog indoors — mostly short play sessions and cuddles — but he genuinely loves his walks and would thrive with a family that enjoys getting outside regularly for sniff walks.

“Skyler’s adaptability is remarkable. He settled completely into his foster home — the space, the people, the routine — within 7 days. He is not noise-sensitive, not fearful, and not demanding. He is simply a warm, steady, happy dog looking for his family.”
