FAQ
Everything you need to know about adopting through Never Alone Animal Rescue International.
About Adoption
Where do your dogs come from?
We rescue dogs from high-kill shelters, illegal meat farms, and commercial puppy mills — primarily in South Korea and Russia.
Are the dogs vaccinated and spayed/neutered?
Yes. Every dog arrives fully vetted with a health certificate, proof of spay/neuter, and core vaccinations including DHLPP and rabies.
Can I adopt if I live outside the U.S.?
Yes! We place dogs with loving families across the United States and Europe. Contact us to discuss international adoption options.
How long does the adoption process take?
The timeline varies depending on the dog and your location. After your application is approved, we'll work with you to coordinate transport and logistics as quickly as possible.
Is there an adoption fee?
Yes, there is an adoption fee that helps cover veterinary care, transport, and rescue operations. Please contact us for current fee information.
The Process
What does the application involve?
The application asks about your household, home environment, current and past pets, and your lifestyle. It takes about 10 minutes to complete.
What is the trial period?
A two-week trial begins at pickup. We ask for daily updates to ensure the dog is adjusting well. If the match isn't right, we'll work together to find a better fit — no pressure.
What is a reference check?
We contact your personal and/or veterinary references to verify your experience caring for animals. This helps us ensure every dog goes to a safe, loving home.
Is my personal information kept private?
Absolutely. Any personal information you share — including home photos or videos — is used solely by our small internal team for adoption screening and is never shared outside our organization.
After Adoption
Do you provide post-adoption support?
Yes. Our team remains available after adoption to answer questions and provide guidance. Many of our adopters also stay in touch with their dog's original foster family.
What if the adoption doesn't work out?
We never abandon a dog. If for any reason the adoption doesn't work out, please contact us immediately. We will work with you to find the best solution for both you and the dog.
