Moonee
Moonee snuggled up at home with her favorite plush toy
Tell us about the transition period when Moonee first came home. What were those first days and weeks like?

When Moonee first arrived, she was very timid, but still curious! She explored my apartment and seemed to get more and more comfortable. I spent the next two weeks with her at home getting to know her and bonding together. Although she got a little sick with Giardia, a quick vet visit healed her up! Moonee is very scared of the outside; however, over time she has slowly become more comfortable with the city!

What has been the biggest joy of adopting Moonee? Any special moments or little quirks you love?

Every day when I get back home, Moonee is so excited to see me and brings me a toy or her treat! It's so cute!

How was your experience adopting internationally through Never Alone?

Extremely smooth and thought out. The process consisted of an interview, some paperwork, and then a 2-week trial period. Moonee was flown from Korea and I picked her up from the airport.

What advice would you give to someone who's thinking about adopting an international rescue dog?

The two-week trial is very important for you and your dog! Please use it to make sure you both like each other.

How has your life changed since bringing Moonee home?

I have learned to be more responsible, and I am extremely happy when I can relax and nap with her!
