Milky was rescued from an overcrowded municipal shelter in Gyeongsan, South Korea, where he was at risk of euthanasia. Since entering foster care in late May 2026, he has settled in beautifully and grows more confident every day.
Milky is initially shy with new people but warms up faster than you'd expect. He is naturally curious about everyone he meets and quietly watches people during walks and at home. Give him a little time and a few treats, and he typically feels comfortable after just a couple of meetings.
Once you've earned his trust, he becomes a true velcro dog. He follows his person from room to room, waits outside the bathroom door, gently taps your hand to ask for pets, and greets you with a wagging tail every time he sees you. He responds similarly to women and men — his curiosity almost always wins over his initial caution.
Milky has lovely manners around other dogs. He greets larger dogs politely on walks and especially enjoys playing with dogs his own size or smaller. Around unfamiliar dogs, he often gravitates toward them over people — he genuinely loves canine company.
Because he is extremely food motivated, treats should always be given separately when multiple dogs are present to avoid any competition.

Milky walks politely on leash and enjoys stopping to sniff. He may occasionally try to pick up food from the ground but gives it up willingly when asked. If another dog barks at him directly, he may briefly pull toward them but redirects easily with a gentle cue from his handler.
Crate training has not yet been started. He previously experienced motion sickness in the car but has responded well to vet-prescribed anti-nausea medication and is now noticeably more comfortable on rides.
Milky dislikes water touching his body during baths and will try to move away, though he cooperates overall. He tolerates blow-drying and is a work-in-progress with tooth brushing.
Milky would thrive with a family that enjoys daily walks and outdoor time — parks, trails, or a securely fenced yard would make him very happy. He would likely do beautifully with another friendly dog, as he genuinely loves canine companionship. He would also be content as an only dog in a home where someone is present for most of the day and committed to giving him regular exercise and company.
He is not looking for perfection. He is simply looking for someone willing to give him a little patience at first. In return, you will gain a loyal shadow who follows you from room to room and quietly fills your home with warmth.
"Milky adapts quickly, eats well, walks beautifully, and is a genuinely sweet dog. His personality improves every day — truly an angel to be around."
Milky has found his forever family. Many wonderful dogs are still waiting for theirs.
