After only a few days she had brought so much joy and love back into our lives after the loss of our dog last year, but we knew we could provide a loving home to another dog in need.

It was an important adjustment period for all of us as we settled into our new routines together.

The biggest challenge was getting her adjusted to our sleep schedule. We found success by only acknowledging her when we were really getting up for the day, rather than reacting to her in the middle of the night.

Cricket has brought immense joy and happiness into our lives. She has a wonderful habit of looking up at us and smiling, thanks to her underbite, and she loves belly rubs so much that she rolls over for them every time we enter a room. She has truly helped heal our home.

Never Alone was very patient with us and worked with us to find a good match for the dog and our family. They even picked up and dropped off our new baby in the worst snow storm New England has seen in years.

To have patience. Accidents happen when they are still adjusting to the new settings, time zone and routine.
