Cody
formerly known as Gamma
Cody by an autumn lake

He arrived 9 months old after being fostered in a home in Brooklyn, NY. The day he arrived and came into our home, he made a bee line for one end of our couch, and that spot has become his safe place other than his crate. In fact, to this day, when he is not outside, he loves sitting on that couch with us on either side of him.

Cody was a bit skittish for the first few days but quickly warmed up to us. We quickly found out that he loves going for walks and is extremely well behaved on a leash. He began to discover all the details of our fence in back yard - the birds, bugs, squirrels, airplanes, neighbors and the wind. He loves being outside. Then he discovered balls, sticks, and snow. Watching Cody discover the world, frolicking in the snow or chasing a ball has been an incredible joy. He is a beautiful animal.

We have had some challenges to be sure of. Cody escaped a couple of times, and it was terrifying. He is an escape artist. That's why we always keep a GPS tracker on him, and we walk him with two leashes. We are working on adapting our raised gardens to keep Cody out of them. He is a dog and he thinks digging in gardens is great!!

Overall, watching Cody grow from a mature pup to an adult has been an incredible joy. Never Alone Animal Rescue was very supportive throughout the process. In fact, prior to our adoption of Cody, our son adopted a rescue from Never Alone Animal Rescue, and it also worked out very well for him.
