I am so happy to share an update on Butter. She is such a sweetheart and has quickly become a beloved member of the family.
The transition home went smoothly, beginning with a successful meet-and-greet with my older dog. While the initial drive home was a bit challenging because she was nervous in the car, she has improved significantly and now happily claims the front seat whenever we go out.
Butter has adjusted perfectly to our routine and was already mostly potty trained when she arrived. She is very food-motivated, loves to play, and clearly communicates when it is bedtime. Her personality is bubbly and warm; she is gentle, smart, and deeply empathetic toward other dogs, especially when she is at daycare. Some of her favorite things include visiting her grandparents, playing tug-of-war and hide-and-seek, and snuggling with her human friends.
For anyone considering adopting a dog like Butter, I believe patience is key. It is important to give them time to adjust without comparing them to other pets. Following the 3-3-3 rule and viewing their progress as teamwork makes the experience incredibly rewarding. As the saying goes, "Ohana means family, and no one gets left behind."
Thank you for everything you did to help Butter find her way to us.
